TheWaltham Symphony Orchestra offers 4-5 concerts a year with an
emphasis on promoting local talents. It is comprised of top
professional players, amateurs and talented students from the
Waltham and surrounding communities. It has established a
reputation as one of the best civic orchestras in the Boston area, and
has a mission to promote classical music and multiculturalism,
dedicating itself to enriching the community through inter-
disciplinary, multi-ethnic and inspiring programming and
educational outreach programs.

An affiliation of the Chamber of Commerce and Historic Waltham,
Inc., the Waltham Tourism Council promotes the city and
surrounding region to tourists, groups, meeting planners,
prospective college students, and travel trade. The WTC produces
brochures, ads and a web site. The group’s mission is to increase
visitation to Waltham hotels, restaurants and historic sites.
